Heather Haythorpe
Heather Haythorpe has served the Friendship Force of Sunshine Coast as both president and vice president in the past. She also served as a district field representative for three years and served as the Australian Field Representatives Coordinator. Heather is well known internationally in Friendship Force. She has assisted with development of Friendship Force in Africa.
Gloria Dawn McEwan
Gloria Dawn McEwan is currently the longest serving member of the Friendship Force of Sunshine Coast. She has served as club president, vice president and field representative in the past. She is known Australia-wide and is highly respected by other clubs throughout Australia. The Friendship Force photographs she has taken and memorabilia she has gathered are an invaluable treasure to her club.
James Haxton
Joined the club late 2000 and has held the positions of Newsletter Editor, Vice President, President, Past President ED on both Outbound and Inbound Exchanges. He is the Club Database operator and Club Webmaster. Jim is also the Australian contact for the Australia / new Zealand eFlyer. With Graeme Donaldson produced and implemented the first Club ED training and Handbook.
Graeme Donaldson
Graeme has served the Friendship Force of Sunshine Coast as both president and vice president in the past. He also served as a Northern District Field Representative for three years. He has led many exchanges both Inbound and Outbound. He was the club auctioneer and the annual club fun auctions raising welcome funds for the club. He was instrumental in setting up and drafting the constitution for the Australian Conference. With Jim Haxton produced and implemented the first Club ED training and Handbook.
Helen Kwong
Helen has been a member for many years and has been a tireless worker for the club. She always put her hand up for ED positions on exchanges and often choosing the difficult ones one being a Global exch. Helen is always willing to host and have group dinners and offer support and encouragement to new members.
Glenys Marsh
Glenys has a long history in Friendship Force (about 30 years). She helped establish the Cairns club and was the first Club President and while in this position met Wayne Smith. After moving to the Sunshine Coast Glenys helped Establish and was first President of the Sunshine Coast FFC. She was very adept at putting Ads in the local paper and encouraging locals to host overseas visitors and to then become members of the club. She is still an active member of the club.
The Friendship Force of the Sunshine Coast Travelling Boomerang.
- Our Club presented this boomerang to the FF Club of Tuxtula, Mexico.
- Please pass the Boomerang on to another club either inbound or on your next outbound.
- We will track it as it travels around the world before returning (as all boomerangs do) to the Sunshine Coast.
- We hope that we can get feedback from clubs so that we can track its journey.
