How to get here

The Sunshine Coast is approx. 95 km north of Brisbane our Capital City. We can be reached from Brisbane by road or rail but not air becausse of the short distance.

Most International Exchange ambassadors would be advised to fly into Sydney and then fly direct to the Maroochy Airport in the centre of the Sunshine Coast (International airport codeMCY) where you would be picked up by your host for a short trip to their residence. Both Virgin Australia and Jetstar have multiple flights daily from Sydney and Melbourne. (737’s & A320’s).

If your International flight terminates in Brisbane your best option is to travel to Sunshine Coast by bus as there are no flights between Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, cost about $47 pp. single $42 pp double.  http://www.sunair.com.au/airport-transfers/brisbane-airport/door-to-door-service   For a large group a charter bus may be cheaper and may be able to be arranged by Inbound ED

We can arrange for a coach to pick you up, if coming in a group, this would be cheaper than a commercial coach service. This is at your own expense. Your ED would need to arrange this with our host ED.
